Earthy Smokey

Todays post will be a break down of the key products used in the look i uploaded onto my instagram today

This was quick and easy to do & is a gorgeous look that would pretty much suit anyone, regardless of skin tone. Perfect for an evening and would particularly go beautifully with a red dress/top to enhance the use of green in the look.
I've included here some of the key products to use in order to recreate it.

STEPS
Here i will outline the steps i took to create the eye look, complete your skin routine as you usually would with your own favourite products. In the image above i have still included some of the skin products i personally like to use incase any of your were curious.
  1.  Apply the KIKO pencil all over your lid up to the crease and also on the bottom lash line
  2. Blend the pencil in with your favourite blending brush. For this look i used the real techniques base shadow brush.
  3. Blend the shades Buck & Hustle into the crease to create a nice graduation into the skin tone. Start with Buck and then add Hustle on top to add a touch of Mauve. This compliments the green beautifully.
  4. With a small flat and firm brush apply the eyeshadow Half baked to the very centre of your lid no further than the crease creating a spotlight effect to the eye. (i used the smaller end of the brush supplied with the naked palette-pictured)
  5. Next apply the Laura Mercier Kohl in Brown Copper to the upper lash line, starting with a thin stroke at the inner corner of the eye gradually getting thicker towards the outer corner.
  6. Finish up with lashings of your favourite mascara . My personal favourites at the moment are the Maybelline Lash Sensational in Extreme black or the MAC In extreme Dimension 3D Black . For extra oomph you can apply the false lash primer also by MAC. This really builds up the length and volume of your natural lashes.

Here is a breakdown of the exact products on my face including shades

  • NARS All day luminous weightless foundation - Barcelona.
  • Dermacolour corrector in shade DF2 - dark circles under the eyes.
  • LA Girl Concealer - Light Ivory (Under Eye), Beautiful Bronze (Contour)
  • Ben Nye - Pretty Pink Loose powder to set under eye.
  • Illamasqua Translucent Loose powder to set Face.
  • MAC Matte Bronze
  • MAC Cheeky Bronze - Blusher
  • The Balm Mary Lou Manizer - Highlighter (Read Below for specifics*)
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder in Soft Brown
  • Optional - For blemishes Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC4 (Darker shade)
The Lips are Plum Lipliner by MAC all over the lips.

*To complete the look my favourite highlighters of the moment are the the balm Mary Lou Manizer or the Mac Studio finish powder in Gold (loose) they create a gorgeous glow. I use both in the evening for a more dramatic high light or the mary Lou Manizer on its own on a day to day basis. The MAC one being the more dramatic of the two when built up.

& thats it! As always i hope you enjoyed the post, thank you for stopping by !
